Welcome to the Official Records Division of the Clerk's office.
As the County Recorder, the Clerk is responsible to keep and protect the public records of Citrus County, in compliance with the Florida Constitution, Florida Statutes, Administrative Orders, and County Ordinances & Resolutions. These are called the "official records"
Official Records consists of liens, plats, certificates of title, mortgages, transfers of property, tax liens, agreements/contracts, maps & plats, lis pendens, marriage licenses, deeds, judgments, death certificates, military discharges, and more.
The Clerk also provides public access to record images on the Clerk's website, processes tax deed applications and conduct sales, and maintains public microfilm libraries.
Images of Official Records are available on the internet and by coming to one of our locations to view on-site research. Only those images authorized by Florida Statute to be made publicly available can be accessed via the internet. There are public access research stations located at the Courthouse in Inverness and the Clerk's satellite location in Crystal River. See location link for contact information and address.
