The Courts department consists of several divisions: Circuit Civil, County Civil, Small Claims, Circuit Criminal, Domestic Relations, Juvenile, Misdemeanor, Probate, and Traffic. Marriage licenses, passport applications, and jury information are also handled by this department.
Our Crystal River Satellite Office is able to assist with many of the tasks within the Courts department and may be more convenient for those citizens on the west side of the county. Please click on the Crystal River Map link for the location of our Satellite Office.
Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (DHSMV) Information
The Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles has implemented a new web-based application for emergency contact information. Florida drivers and ID card holders may now go on-line to the department's website and enter the name and up to three phone numbers for two persons they wish to be contacted in the event of an emergency. This system is the result of a suggestion from a constituent of Rep. Galvano who unfortunately lost her daughter to a tragic accident. Information entered in to this new system will be available for law enforcement use only, and can be accessed via a laptop from a patrol vehicle if it is equipped with Internet capability. Officers without laptops in their vehicles will be able to obtain the information from their dispatchers.
