A message from Angela Vick, Clerk of the Circuit Court
The Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller is an elected Constitutional Officer, set in place by Article V, Section 16 of the Florida Constitution and mandated to perform those duties for the protection of the citizens.
Over 1,000 duties are performed by the Clerk of the Court's office, representing a broad and diverse mantle of responsibility including:
Clerk of the Circuit and County Courts,
County Recorder,
County Accountant and Comptroller,
Ex-Officio Clerk to the Board of County Commissioners, and
County Auditor
Providing effective and efficient service to our customers, both internally and externally, is the core focus of the Clerk's Office. We serve the citizens, hundreds of partnering agencies, the local legal and business communities, the Judiciary, Board of County Commission, all Constitutional Officers, State Attorney, Public Defender and many more. The Clerk is a central and autonomous hub to MANY entities and it is imperative that we stay in step with all statutory updates and mandates in order to provide superior and exceptional service.
The Clerk's Office utilizes the most current technology available and is committed to streamlining processes for cost savings and efficiency in operations. We are passionate about providing protected access to records and convenience in service for the citizens of Citrus County and all others who visit our website or local office.
My budget position has and will remain conservatively focused on cost effective and efficient operations through process improvement and the progressive pursuit of technology.
